Cleerline Fibre Optic Cable

Starting with an industry-proven Glass, Glass, Polymer Fibre construction—which today is known as being the most durable fibre construction available–we modified the coating layer, making it thinner. With a thinner polymer coating, SSF™ product can be cleaved in the field using standard cleavers. The benefits of our SSF™ proprietary GGP Fibres are that they are Stronger, Safer, and Faster terminating than any other product on the market.

Fibre Cable Options

Simplex Cable

Cleerline SSF™ advanced optical glass fibres are much stronger, safer, and faster terminating than typical fibres. Cleerline SSF™ fibres are compatible with all common connector systems on the market for standard multimode and Single-mode fibres. Simplex cable consists of one jacketed fibre optic strand. Simplex cable provides the minimum number of fibre strands for fibre installation. Fibre is available in OS2, OM2, OM3, and OM4. Available jacketing options are Riser, Plenum, and LSZH.

Duplex Cable

Cleerline SSF™ advanced optical glass fibres are much stronger, safer, and faster terminating than typical fibres. Cleerline SSF™ fibres are compatible with all common connector systems on the market for standard multimode and Single-mode fibres. Duplex fiber cable consists of two jacketed fibres connected in a zip cord style cable. Fiber is available in OS2, OM2, OM3, and OM4 and 2 strands. Available jacketing options are Riser, Plenum, and LSZH.

Micro Distribution Cable

Cleerline SSF™ advanced optical glass fibres are much stronger, safer, and faster terminating than typical fibres. Cleerline SSF™ fibres are compatible with all common connector systems on the market for standard multimode and Single Mode fibres. Cleerline SSF™ Micro Distribution style cable provides the ultimate in durability and bend in a very compact size. Distribution cable is lightweight, easy to terminate, and especially suited for indoor networking. Fibre is available in OS2, OM2, OM3, and OM4 and 2-12 strands. Available jacketing options are Riser, Plenum, and LSZH.

Breakout Cable

Cleerline SSF™ advanced optical glass fibres are much stronger, safer, and faster terminating than typical fibres. Cleerline SSF™ fibres are compatible with all common connector systems on the market for standard multimode and Single Mode fibres. Breakout cable is ideal in applications requiring direct termination. Breakout cable is an excellent option for demanding environments. Fibre is available in OM3 and OM4 and 2-4 strands. Available jacketing options are Riser, Plenum, and LSZH.

Tactical Breakout Cable

Tactical cable is designed for situations where cable may need to be removed or changed, such as rental or staging installations. PU jacketing provides durability, UV and chemical resistance, and extreme flexibility. Fibre is available in Breakout or Micro Distribution OS2 and OM3, 2-4 strands (depending on configuration), with a polyurethane jacket.

Aluminium Interlocking Armoured Cable

Micro-distribution Aluminium Interlocking Armoured fibre has a core protected by a spirally-wrapped aluminium strip. This cable is intended for indoor applications in which cable requires extra protection. Save time on installation as Cleerline aluminium interlocking cable does not require additional inner duct or conduit. This cable is rated for Indoor use only. Fibre is available in OS2, OM2, OM3, and OM4 and 2-72 fibre strands. Available jacketing options are Riser, Plenum, and LSZH.

Armoured Direct Burial Cable

Corrugated Armoured Steel Direct Burial cable is designed for rugged environments. The cable jacking is UV-resistant, rodent-resistant, and designed to withstand direct burial. This cable offers superior crush resistance and superior pull. Fibre is available in OS2, OM2, and OM3, 2-12 strand, with a polyethylene jacket.

24 Strand Single Tube Fibre Optic Cable

This cable consists of 24 SSF™ optical fibres within a single 3.1mm diameter distribution-style tube. Available in single-mode OS2 or multimode OM3, Single Tube cable has a plenum-rated PVC jacket suitable for use indoors or outdoors in conduit.
Features:
• 3.1 mm outer diameter
• High mechanical strength, superior fatigue (nd = 30)
• Integral SSF™ coating provides glass protection
• Exclusive 250 µm Soft Peel acrylate
• Convenient single tube construction for data centre-type environments

Fibre Termination & Testing Kits

Cleerline Technology Group constantly strives to improve all forms of fibre optic technology, from the glass itself to the tools and accessories that are utilized in the process of termination. From the largest data centres, to your office desktop connection, and now to your home’s TV, Cleerline is redefining fibre connectivity.

Fibre Cable Accessories

Loose tube fanout kits are available in 4, 6, and 12 strand configurations and two different lengths. Cleerline SSF™ fanout kits are designed to work with all 250 μm type cable and industry standard connectors.

Cleerline SSF™ Spider Breakout kits are available in 6 and 12 strand configurations. These kits work with all 250 μm cabling and industry standard connectors for 3.0mm jacket fibre.

LC & SC Connectors

Cleerline SSF™ field-installable LC & SC type connectors completely eliminate the need to hand polish, epoxy, or crimp in the field. SSF™ mechanical splice connectors ensure precise fibre alignment, producing low loss terminations for all multimode or single mode applications. SSF™ connectors are compatible with 900µm, 2.0 or 3.0mm fibre optic cabling. Our exclusive hinge-based design and large verification windows allow for easy confirmation of successful termination. SSF™ connectors are compatible with all SSF™ fibres as well as standard fibre optic cabling.

SSF Fibre - Stronger, Safer Faster

The benefits of our SSF™ proprietary GGP Fibres are that they are Stronger, Safer, and Faster terminating than any other product on the market.

Stronger – 10,000 times the bend longevity, and up to 200 times the durability allows technicians to treat our product like standard Category cable with no fear of failure.

Safer – The fibre with its smaller glass-cladding layer is more bendable and forgiving. The 125um coated GGP will not puncture the skin.

Faster – SSF™ is faster to terminate by skilled technicians since fewer preparations and precautions are required. Overall, SSF™ is simpler to handle. It is also faster to train a new technician to get up to speed making quality connections.

Fibre Optics, Redefined

The question was simple. Why do we need to strip the protective coating from the glass? Could we eliminate many of the inherent challenges of fibre termination by incorporating a coating hard enough and concentric enough to allow for the technician to terminate fibre without getting down to bare glass?

The core problem with glass, and especially with glass the size of a human hair, is that it is fragile. Bend it, and it will break; expose it to humidity, and it will break down into silica. Any surface imperfections will eventually cause it to fail. Glass is fragile, and terminating bare glass the way everyone has been required to for over 30 years is a delicate procedure. The technician must be precise and careful because it can be a dangerous process. Overall, this adds up to a complex procedure a technician spends the time to learn and become proficient enough to perform for a living.

But what if you didn’t have to remove a protective coating from the glass to terminate a fibre into a connector? What would this do to the process? What would this do for the durability of the fibre?

It would change everything. It would redefine fibre optics – Starting with an industry-proven Glass, Glass, Polymer Fibre construction—which today is known as being the most durable fibre construction available–we modified the coating layer, making it thinner. With a thinner polymer coating, SSF™ product can be cleaved in the field using standard cleavers.
